I need to go home,
Where the time zone follows the timeless Missouri.
I need to go home,
Where the horizon is far away, but I can see it.
I need to go home,
Where the proud meadowlark proclaims his ownership of the prairie.
I need to go home,
Where the black night sky displays God's own diamonds.
I need to go home,
Where courtesy is a practice, not just a word.
I need to go home,
Where last I knew real peace.
I need to go home,
And find the place where I left Me!
